Philadelphia Honey Festival reinvents itself as a safe, COVID compliant virtual festival to celebrate all things honey – during September, National Honey Month. The Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild continues to partner with
Glen Foerd on the Delaware,
Wyck Historic House and
Bartram’s Garden for this revamped annual event.
Presented in on-line format only, this virtual festival works to raise awareness about the importance of honey bees to the environment, the food supply and the economy, and to celebrate urban beekeeping and gardening.
This virtual event will take place all month long to coincide with National Honey Month. While in-person live events are not possible, streamed on social media will be returning traditions like open hive talks, honey extraction and tastings, and the famous bee beard.
You can also
purchase honey from local beekeepers, available for pickup at participating sites.
