Johnson House: Civil Words, a World Premiere Concert Event

In this highly anticipated world premiere, Opera On Tap Philadelphia explores the definition - and costs - of patriotism from differing perspectives, along with the accompanying sacrifice it often requires. Performed by four classically trained professional singers along with an all-star pianist, the program is approximately an hour long with a 15 minute intermission and includes musical works written by predominantly Philadelphia-based composers, along with a piece specifically commissioned for Opera On Tap Philadelphia. Performed in the extraordinary Johnson House, a stunning hidden gem of Germantown, audiences will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in historical significance at one of the stops on the Underground Railroad.
