Join Historic Germantown ambassador and retired Randolph CT HS teacher Barbara Dowdall, Philadelphia Alliance to Restore School Librarians (PARSL) members, and local Germantown Girl Scouts for a walk-and-talk. As the walk begins, participants will pause In Market Square, the Green Space adjacent to Historic Germantown, to share stories of early learning about nature. The group will then walk up Germantown Avenue to Vernon Park, noting natural neighborhood treasures. The walk will conclude at the Center in the Park building, where participants can enjoy the Free Library of Philadelphia's display of nature books for all ages and receive resource packets.
This walk starts at the Germantown Historical Society Courtyard - 5501 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144, and ends at Vernon Park’s Center in the Park.
