Travel through five centuries of Central Germantown history, community & development, from the 17th century to today; see architectural landmarks still standing, learn about their beginnings and endurance through the eras, while observing locations & markers of historical spaces adapted over time due to commercial and residential expansion.
Cost: FREE, registration required.
This tour includes transportation to and from Germantown, but will predominantly include walking within the neighborhood.
Meeting Point: Independence Visitor Center (599 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19106).
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled tour time. Check-in at the Visitor Center Information Desk when you arrive.
The tour within the neighborhood is approximately 90 minutes with additional time allotted for travel. Your tour will be led by a tour guide and a local tour host from the neighborhood.
Space is limited, please only reserve a space if you know you are able to attend. Space may be available for walk-up guests on a first-come, first-served basis.
