Event Details

Do your service on MLK Day outside helping the landscape crew at Awbury Arboretum keep some of the exotic invasive plant species in check.

We will be working in two areas: the Chew Avenue entrance and inside AdventureWoods. Participation will be limited to 30 people total.

Water and a light snack will be provided. Please bring work gloves, hand pruners, or loppers, if you have them, and please label them clearly. A limited number of hand tools and gloves will be provided.

In order to comply with city safety guidance for public events, all participants must wear face masks.

Heavy snow/rain OR temperatures forecast with a high below 20°F will cancel the event.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cost:          FREE; registration required
Location:  Please park on Chew Ave. or Ardleigh St. and walk to meet at the Cope House
Ample free street parking is available at 6060 Ardleigh St (across from the tennis courts) as well as near the Chew Ave entrance to the Arboretum.
