What did it take to build a country house in the 18th century American colonies? Learn about the design and construction of the Chew House and other buildings on the estate from the accounts that document the work of the early Germantown builders of Cliveden. The tour will take approximately an hour and a half.

Our annual Spring Art Market will take place Saturday, May 9, from noon to 5 p.m.

This guided tour will showcase the diverse collection of trees within the grounds - from mature sycamores and oaks to unique specimens like American Chestnut, Viburnum, Linden, and Black Locust. Participants will learn about the cultural history, ecological roles, and stories behind these trees. The walk highlights how the landscape functions as a living archive or resilience, heritage and sustainability. Rain date may 23rd

Join us for the opening reception of Looking Glass, a site-responsive exhibition at Cliveden of the National Trust by six contemporary artists: Naya Lee Chang, Janna Gregonis, Jacintha Kruc, Kristen Neville Taylor, Jonathan Wahl, and Samara Weaver. The historic house will be open for a self-guided walkthrough of art installations throughout the house and grounds. Light refreshments will be served. Free admission.

Join us for a free Second Saturday workshop at Wyck, led by Philadelphia chef & educator Valerie Erwin.

Wyck's workshops explore horticulture, culinary, and historical themes inspired by Wyck’s collections, landscape, and thriving home farm. Workshops are led by local chefs, business owners, and artisans in tandem with Wyck staff.

Workshop seating is limited. Registration is free, but required. Online registration will open up no later than two weeks prior to the event.

The Philadelphia Honey Festival at Wyck is our sweet finish to the summer season! Hosted in partnership with the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild, the festival offers a variety of activities that celebrate and educate our pollinators.
