Historic Germantown presents the grand opening of Inspiring Bright April:  Race and Class in 1940s Germantown, an exhibit that tells the story behind the writing of Marguerite de Angeli’s beloved book “Bright April”, published in 1946.

The exhibit will be open from 11am to 5pm, and at 3pm there will be a short discussion by exhibit planners Barbara Dowdall, Susan Bockius and children’s author Becky Birtha.
